Short and shorter

Dedicated to the discovery of new talent, the Pardi di domani section screens shorts and medium-length films by young independent auteurs or film school students who have not yet tried their hand at feature films. The section has two separate competitions: one limited to recent Swiss productions, the other international, featuring films from all over the world. The special programme Corti d’autore features shorts by established filmmakers and well-known personalities in the film industry, whereas Corti d’artista opens a window on the most experimental and radical productions in contemporary cinema. This year the Festival presents La faute à Rousseau, a series of shorts in the framework of the 300th anniversary of Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s birth, and is paying a tribute to the Viennale for its 50th anniversary as well as to Curtas Vila do Conde's 20th edition.
